That sounds great to me only 45 min away and about 45 min away from florida Plus SGMP has all the room you need to park all paved no rocks or grass plus the track is a mile long and can run the 1/8 or 1/4 mile plus as smooth as glass no bumpty bumps in the track or dips and all concrete.

I would think that central would give you the best chance for a larger group of participants. Somewhere around Missouri, Tn, Ky area would be alright. No matter where or when it is there is always going to be people that don't like it or can't make it. Fall is a cool idea like Rick mentioned but I don't know if the site can handle all the pandemonium that subsided before this years race for that long of a period (and survive) . April is a nice time if the weather cooperates. Not to hot and not to close to summer where it can be affected by school, graduations and summer family vacations.

Don't mind traveling some, but have you checked into Beech Bend?
Might still be early enough to get a slot for next spring.
1/4 mile....lots of sutdown.

Personally I'm a fan of 1/8 mile if we can.Next year might see the spray on my truck

Tulsa is a bad ass hookin track........

It's so funny, everyone wants these races in their own back yard. But if you want them to be successful, you need to make it as accessible as possible to everyone. Now if you want to have one in the everglades, then the next one should be around Bakersfield or Seattle. There are many good tracks all over the country (and some bad ones) and although I've never been able to get to any of the Bashes I would like to, knowing full well that I'm going to have to drive quite a distance. This concept was brought about to get as many of the people from this board as possible and putting it in the far reaches of the country is not conducive to a high turnout. If everyone will make a small sacrifice then no one will have to make a very large one or not participate at all.

I dont give a damn, as long as its within a days drive I'm good. I just wonder how many more members we could pick up if it wasnt biased so hard to the East coast.......

That's kind of what I'm thinking. One days drive is doable, but 2 or 3 is just a little much.

Hmm, about same travel time as KY for me, its closer as the eagle flies but my ass don't have wings. St. louis is about 6 hours seems fairly centralised from north to south.

1/8 mile works best for me
