New Race Car Idea

I have just found a 1969 Chevelle and am seriously thinking of picking it up to put a BBF in it, I can probably get it for preatty cheap and may even forgo the rest on my Mustang to get going on this and see how many of the CHEVY guy's think I have traded sides. I would like to get this all done up nice as possible and paint the engine bay one color of FORD blue and the Engine another color of FORD blue! It would look all CHEBY on the out side but CRACK THE SAFE AND SEE THE GEMS INSIDE !!!!!! It's going to need some parts and pieces but I think it's doable! May need a few body parts if anyone knows of any.

What you guy's think?

Go for it . They do it to us all the time .

The way I see it,is this would be an improvment on CHEBY! Plus they put there junk in Mustangs ,T buckets and all sooo why not!!!!

True they put the chevy crap in mustangs but when you put a ford in a chevy you get all the attention like the guy that was on pinks with the bbf in the comaro and spanks the chevies with it.When they ask him why he put the bbf it he told them to piss of the chevy guys

problem is your still driving a chevy........ even if it is bbf powered. if you get it cheap enough id flip it for some coin..........

I like the idea just remember foxbody parts are relatively cheap compared to chevelle parts and not as many companies designing stuff for them, from a monetary standpoint you might be better off sticking with the mustang.

This idea's all well and good W/a BIG IF. IF it has a big enough BBF to do the job. One thing you don't need to do is go out there and make a fool out of yourself and get your ass stomped by some small block chevy. If your gonna do this, do it right and make the Ford nation proud. jmo and good luck.

Coulda had a numbers matching 396 4 speed 4.11 posi 69 with no rust a few years ago for $600 I wanted to buy it and resell it but at that time nobody wanted a 69 only the 70's bodystyle. If cash is holding back your current project just pass on it.

I have a nice 1969 L88 427 sitting in the garage with scattersheild and 4 speed, but I am afraid the car is going to need major surgery

I allready have a bunch of parts gave for one of these projects that I feel will never run... so no more for me

Don't remember asking for any hand outs? Just was asking for opinion and as usual mostly SMART ASS COMMENTS! WOW GO FIGURE! I have never asked for anything for FREE and never would! All I asked was to see what people had and what deals could be made, and yes I'm on a buget so Fu(^in what not everyone has a heavy wallet like most of the SMART ASSES right? So people do have more important priorities.Atleast I'm still workin on it getting pieces together as we sit here nit pickin about something that has no real chance anyway! I may still pick it up just to maybe sell it to get what I can for it or like I said just put it out in my horse pasture and let it rust like CHEVIES do!
