Just got back from the game.......

Man, what a game it was too... I went and watched my son's school, #1 Capital High School, play #2 C.M.Russell High School from Great Falls... It was a tough game as both schools have great teams as a whole... We went in at half time, down 12-7... After the "pep talk" by the head coach, we came out for the 2nd half with a vengence... We scored 2 touchdowns, and were up 21-12, then CMR scored, 21-19... End of 3rd Qtr... 4th Qtr., about 4 min. in we score again, making it 28-19... Our defense held them right at the 5 yd. line for a no score, we take over on downs and on 3rd down we fumble giving them another opprtunity to beat up on our tired undersized defense, and giving up another TD, making it 28-26 with 3:36 left in the game... All we needed to do was control the clock... With time winding down, we had reached mid-field, with only about 2:22 left, all we need is 1 more 1st down... Bingo...! We got it, about 1:30 left, now all we got to do is run the clock out, but with a 25 sec. play clock we have to run plays and try and control the clock... Time is winding down and it's 3rd down with 1:05 left... Coach decides to let the play clock run out and take the penalty, leaving us with a 4th down situation with 40 sec. left on the clock... We run it down again to minimum time and punt it away and let special teams take it from there... They got a great tackle on the 30 yd. line, and with 16 sec. left, it's all or nothing for CMR... 3 deep incompletions later, there's 6 agonizing seconds left, and it's do or die time for either team... CMR airs it out one last time and narrowly over throws the reciever, giving us the win... 6-0 baby...! Also breaking our own record of 26 for consecutive wins with 27 straight wins...

This was probably our toughest game of the year, but we can't count out Glacier High... They're coming up in 2-3 weeks, but I think we can take 'em...

Wow, 27 in a row is quite an accomplishment!! The kids are doing great!

Thanks guys, my son also plays for the JV, and they played their game yesterday against the same school... It was out of town so I couldn't go, but he said they were down 21-7 at the start of the 2nd qtr. and came back to win that game also 49-41... I believe the JV is 5-0 this year...
