I saw a show a few years ago, I believe it was Horsepower Tv, and they showed one of the cars and IIRC it was #1 of the 3. It was still owned by the original purchaser, one of the Holman & Moody guys. The original 429 SCJ was pulled out and stuck in a corner of their shop, and a std 429 was installed so as not to put any miles on the original engine. That one was Grabber Yellow I believe... Very cool piece of Ford history, that's for sure...

Hi,
New to this forum. A friend of mine sent me this link. My friend Steve and I are the ones who restored that car ( the Calypso Coral car). I'll dig up some pictures and post them up here. The shock towers in that car actually look like 1971-3 Mustang towers. Since it was a prototype it had some odd features. The dash assembly ( the metal part) was more like the 68-9 Torino's, they had different style vents. ll the parts on that car had engravings or decals with the engineering number 0058-3 and " prototype and tooling not to specification" on it. Car took an entire year to restore. Cool piece of Ford History

Theres a guy on the Torino Forum that bought the molds to reproduce the nose. He bought it from a guy who had been sitting on them for a long time.
He might repo a few to sell he says.

front end
We had that mold made back in 1989, Lot of work to get a finished product but the guy who mad the mold did a nice job. the whole front end, minus the hood, is one piece.

VERY sweet! Imagine the crowd you'd draw at a big all Ford show.

Glad you found us, there are certainly a lot of Ford nostalgia freaks here on the board. We love cars like this.
