Ran my car in Gimli Manitoba Sept 2

During the International Mustang Meet in Winnipeg I took the Ranchero to Interlake Dragway in Gimli.
The track elevation is 800 ft. so I jetted the carb for sea level. I made a couple baseline runs with my best a disappointing 11.83 at 115.42 mph..
I checked the plugs and they were white (lean) so I went up 2 jet sizes. The DA was up to 2500 ft by noon and the car ran an 11.68 at 116.55 mph..
I went up another 2 sizes but by 1 pm the DA was at 3500 ft. My final pass I chopped the tree down with a .514 light but only ran 11.69 at 116.55 mph..
I even hung the skinnies

Yep. I've worked on that aircraft quite a few times. It's amazing what happened to that thing and it was only down a few weeks.

BTW: I've actually done a 1/2 mile pass at full throttle in that exact aircraft a few times. Too bad I never got a time slip.
