Differences between stock type block and the a460 block?
Hey guys. This will be my first time utilizing the a460 block in a build. What are the differences when building the a460? Currently all i have is the block (fresh 4.530 bore), brand new kasse p51 heads as they come from jon set up for solid roller cam and a new trickflow mafia intake. My next purchace will be a rotating assembly (scat 4340 4.5 crank scat rods and i guessing diamond flat top pistons???) It will be 580 ci. What length rod should i run? What bearings should i purchace? I am wanting to make around 900-1000 hp . Also what do i need to do to the heads to achieve this? Porting? Is my valve size ok? Thanks in advance, Brock

With the A460 block either rod will work good.....6.7 or 6.8"

Thanks Lem. Are there any advantages or disadvantages from one to the other?

personally I like the 6.8 rods keeps the piston up in the bores further

Not with the longer cyl. walls of the A460 block. .100" rod lenght aint gonna change the ratio much.
