NEWBIE FAE SCOTLAND
HI FOLK,S, well were to begin, been a blue oval whore all my day,s. built my first rod wey back in 1977, was a ford pop with jag chrome back axle, gt 6 front & good old ford essex v6 3 litre engine/c3 auto. built about a dozen + cars since then. at present got a 41 willyz coupe with big block ford, a72 pro street mach 1 muzzy with 400 cleveland, a 47 austin dorset pro street with cobra jet 351 cleveland , 52 austin devon with 351 cleveland , ford pop ( n.o. 4 ) avatar with rover 215 cu in v8, jag irs, nos, run,s high 13 teen,s 1/4 mile, n.o. ( 5 ) ford pop 429 dove a engine, 2 speed glide, 3500 stall, 4.56 9" rear run,s 9.7 1/4 mile been lurking for a while , about time i joined a great site. at present trying to sell up my house to return bact to ontario. thank,s for letting me on to ur site, hope to enjoy it. cheers jonny z

Welcome too. Theys some nice rides. Thats a fair old haul from scotland to shakey do you get there very often? Any pics of your of your latest anglia?
You had a dorset then thats a rare old bird on this side of the pond was it the old alan mearns one? Make sure you say hi next time your at shakey.

hi austin, it sure is a haul, get down on average 4-6 time,s a year to shakey, its a 670 mile round trip for me & mrs, get to the pod about 2-3 times at over 800 mile trip. run my peppermint pop in n.s.c.c. competition mostly at york dragway. this is the only pic i have as got the car rubbed down to repaint/
i bought the dorset as a basket case & have built a full spec tube frame with a 8.50 tag, andy robinson rear end, srut front, 351 cleveland/c4
should have it ready for the track hopefully around nownext year. hope to see u at the track,? alway,s do the nostalgia nat,s & hot rod drag,s. cheer,s jonny

hi bud, dorset,s here are like hobby horse s**t, i am now converting devon 4 door to 2 door,s. been checking out this great knowlegebale site & just love it. a big thank,s to all, hope to bug ur brain,s & get ma race pop in tae the 8s would be nice. think ill need to invest in some ally heads, what do u guy,s think,? what,s the best bang for bucks.? cheers jonny
