Old Holley 1050 List 6464
Ran across a 1050 the other day. It is a List 6464 12R-4325B that was been worked on by Chuck Nuytten as some point. It is in very very nice condition and I'm not sure it's had fuel in it since it was worked on. Gaskets were the old brown ones and were not stuck. Jets are 88's and there are no PV's in it. The CN stickers on the float bowls are the old 214 area code stickers and look brand new. I sent him an email with his serial number to see if he had any records on it.
I don't really know much about the 6464's. Anyone have the scoop on them? I do know it was intended to be used on a TR, but that's about it.
2 circuit? 3 circuit? what linkage? I don't think it's not 1:1, but the secondaries open pretty quick.

YEA ... it has certainly been worked-on. The boosters are not original 6464 and the individual airhorn towers have been machined off so I am sure a lot of other stuff has been done inside, also.

Ok learning some stuff here...
It is a 3 circuit and this one has the soft-progressive linkage in it.
It apparently was used in a 2x4 setup at some point and has cylinder numbers engraved on the outside of the carb body, metering blocks and fuel bowls.

That is one more thing ... the 6464 carb came with true 1 to 1 linkage not "soft staged".

It appears to have only two circuits per venturi. I used a set of them many years ago on a drag/river boat, I liked them and they weren't modified. You would think the air bleeds would have been updated.

I got an email back from CN and this carb had his 4003 labor package done to it way back in 1996!
It is definitely a 3 circuit, but I will probably do the 2 circuit conversion as outlined over on Motorsports Village. This is making me learn all kinds of new carb stuff and it's a blast.

I may be blind or very possible don't know what I'm looking at or know little about those type carbs, both are very possible! Th carb in the picture doesn't appear to have intermeadiate air restrictors. Someone correct me please!

Dave.
Some carbs which DO have an intermediate circuit have NO air bleeds as the air restriction is an 1/8 inch for that circuit.
The original #8896 came that way.
