Should the hydraulic lifters be pre- oiled or installed dry in the 429 with an ajustable valve train?

You should soak them in a bowl of oil and after a few hours of soaking take a push rod the pump them up a few times till bubbles stop coming out of the little holes. Keep them soaking till you install them.
