Re: Enginerring at its finest...........
only real issues is the leaky radiators, the def system has issues but just put the fuel and fuel aditives in the fuel tank and the def in the def tank lol.
seems like turbos are becoming an issue.......... all this seems to be on the early trucks, dont sweat it just drive it boo boo.........

And I did what you love and lifted her a few inches and added some bigger wheels and tires, I think I'll bring her over to ya if I ever need work done. I know how you love to work on these things anyway!! Lifted is even better

Boo Boo, see if you can find an H&S exhaust pipe, and chip with the EGR, DEF, and DPF eliminate in it. The Feds swooped down on H&S and fined the crap out of them, but there is still a little bit of old stock laying around. Keep it in the shop until the warranty runs out though and then add it on. It's worth some mileage and can add some power if you really think you need it. I have a kit in my garage waiting for the warranty to run out.

I may do that not that I think I need more than what the truck has. We have emissions testing here so the only reasonable option for me would be with the Mini Maxx and DPF on tuning, I ain't swapping that exhaust crap out once a year. I want to at least get a Edge Insight or something similar to keep an eye on other goings on especially while towing. I got another 4 1/2 years before she'd be tuned anyway. I've read where several people are getting while the H&S can still be had. I still can't get over how quiet these damn things are, now that I have 37 inch tires they're the only things I hear now

The general manager at work just got a F250 with 6.7 in it he pulled around to the maintenance shop the other day with it I couldn't beleave how quiet it was a gas burner it louder than it. My old 93 7.3 is loud I wish I could get as quiet as the 6.7.

Ya, if you have to do the emission testing, you'd be screwed. I don't think mine needs any more power than what it has now, that engine pulls like a semi, and I know I have a Pete. I've had a lot of comments on how quiet the engine is and how they can't believe it's a diesel. Damn fine engine in my book.
