Better buy one quick, that's one of those nasty"assault" rifles...you know you don't need one of those for hunting Rob!!!

I've already got the 300AAC, what I want is the can on the end of the barrel. Have a guy I went to high school with that is a Class III weapons dealer that is going to hook me up.

Re: I want one of these
I have to get the tax stamp @ $200 from the federal gov't first, then what ever I decide on for a can on top of that. I saw some Ti stuff that was over a grand, but steel stuff is pretty reasonable. Each can you have must have it's own tax stamp, so I'm going to get one that will be able to be used on all of my rifles. The Blackout round is by far the best when suppressed, but even the supersonic stuff will be quieter with a suppressor. If I can help my kids shoot without the hearing loss that I have I will be money ahead buying a can.

If it's a good one, they wont affect accuracy at all.

Hanging all that weight on the end of a barrel has to effect it.

Re: I want one of these
We shoot with advanced armament suppressors and they don't affect accuracy at all. Only thing is point of impact is a little lower, but is to be expected. Adjust your elevation for that. Takes awhile to get all the "paperwork" done, but is well worth it. Chris

Can't get one No suppressors, no brakes even that are threaded, only brakes that are pressed on or pined.

I'm not man enough for that big ole boy. $2.50 a pop for new brass is kind of out of my price range. I've shot a 338/378 Weatherby before and thought it was a nice squirrel cartridge.

The bad thing about guns that shoot 4000+ is it's not long and the throat is Toast, I shoot a Ruger 204 which is 4100 and I slowed it down to 3800 to save the barrel, my Ruger 220 Swift which is 4000 I slowed down to 3775 it drives tacks without wiping the barrel throat, and still reaches way out there for a deadly shot.....400 or 500 yards are gravy, makes praire dogs do back flips and summersaults
