would you guys put a chute on the car ??
i will make the combo brief to ya guys
528ci - big valve dove heads ported, solid roller cam ....with vac pump and q16 excpecting 700-730 hp (heads were done by Randy Malik along with his cam)
glide -transbrake - gonna get converter after engine gets dynoed
baseline rear suspension car 35 spline spooled rear if it matters
Car should be in around 3k id assume maybe a lil less or more .......i have an 8.8, strange drag brakes front and rear , doors have been gutted , have orig glass in car , and 5 gallon fuel cell
QUESTION is ......right now i wanna get all the little fab work out of the way , would you guys put a chute on the back ? or at least the mount .... im assuming i could be around the 140mph range

unless you run on short tracks you prolly wont ever need it, on the other hand its not a bad thing to have...........the thing with that is it wont do any good pulling it at the last sec if your in trouble and cant get stopped as its effectivness would be minimal.
Id get the mounts in place since your having work done anyway, you never know you might step it up later down the road. I put a stub on my smallblock car years ago when it ran 10s, it still dont need one lol.

thats what i was thinking ......why have it if not really needed and if ya get into trouble everything happens so fast to react to use it might not even be an option .
Also prob kinda look foolish with a slow 9 sec car with a chute on the back

I guess I'm over safety cautious. I say put it on. The nitrous will be ran before too long and you will need it anyway. Lol

I'd just put the mount in and get a chute later when you really need it.

135mph or 9.99 the rules say its got to be on there even if you never use it, the rules are there to protect you! I almost went in the sand on a decent pass last season so mine will definitely have one this year.

Years ago I ran on a track with the shortest shutdown I'd ever seen. Only time I ever felt the need for one.

X2. I never have been one for gadgets UNLESS it's really needed.

Never hurts to fab the mount especially if you can tuck it behind the bumper cover. You will probably do more to the car later to go faster... We all do!
