4.142 crank
I tried the search and I'm unable to find any flat top forged pistons with scj/p51 valve reliefs for a 4.142 offset ground factory crank. Even checking web sights all I can find is for 4.150. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do like Frank said, or just order a set of Diamond pistons with custom offset to your specs. They will make you what ever you want.

Your only talking about .004 difference lower in the bore.

.004?
I dont mean to second guess you but how do you come up with .004 in the bore I thought there was an .008 difference please forgive the ignorance. I want did build the engine for e85 since the pump gas in west Texas sucks 91 octane at best and Im starting from scratch. I'm looking to make some decent compression with scj or p51 heads. I got a c9 block haven't checked the deck hight yet but aren't they 10.320? Thanks againIDT-572 wrote:Your only talking about .004 difference lower in the bore.

Re: 4.142 crank

what's the deck clearance we need to shoot for? .010 in the hole ? Thanks
I know the right way is to install all the pistons correct? Not just 1. Then see how much to take off right?
I go with the 4 square decking. Let us know Thanks

OK thanks dfree. Sorry we butted some heads awhile back. Are we cool? I finally got A BBF now so I have lots of questions. I don't want to do something or buy something wrong and have to start and have to start all over again.dfree383 wrote:I typically shoot for 0 deck and run a .043-.045 head gasket.

Makes sense
[list][*] thanks for all the input y'all wish I could find others using this stroke combination. I'm wanting to run scj or p51 heads on a mainly strip fox hatch with a couple of show off nights up to sonics ever so often. Thanks again2fox wrote:yes half of 8 is 4.IDT-572 wrote:Your only talking about .004 difference lower in the bore.
