I don't know why only half the pictures are showing up, they work fine on the other websites.

I'm not, the side picture is only showing half the car, the front picture is only showing half the grill and same for the engine. Notice that it is a dually rear axle?

I seen that. I wonder if it is an old truck chassis?

I see you were down at cruising the coast this week Jones.

It has to be one of the junkier rat rods I have ever seen. Two F150 i-beams welded together in the middle. It also has a hand brake (the lever on the tranny), an expanded metal floor that "has not had anything come through it yet". While I think a lot of rat rods are cool lets just say I wouldn't want this pile of crap behind me when I have to pile on the brakes in an emergency.

Re: BBF Rat Rod
I understand the concept of the Rat Rod, but I could never build anything to intentionally look like that... A friend of mine up here took a '61 or '62 Country Squire Wagon ( I think) and put a 427 side oiler in it with full intention on leaving it look like it just got back from a couple hits at the local Demo Derby... I Do however like the fact that he put a BBF in it... It would be awesome to see him smoke up those duals...

I don't grasp the concept myself They spend enough time and energy to build a nice piece, but to each his own Whatever turns your crank :DThe aluminum rod "coil bracket" is pretty ingenious though!!

Re: BBF Rat Rod
I didn't get a chance to go down this week. The owner of this fine ride just posted pics of it on our local forum and I thought I would share it.
I think it is an awsome idea, and kinda reminds me of building go-karts from scratch when I was little. Like the first time I tried using just a flat plate against the rear tire for brakes! Only to have the weld break on the plate when I needed to stop the most. Going through the fence realizing that might not have been the best idea! LOL

I had posted a close up shot in the other post I had started. I was wondering if it was fake or real...

Yup, it's fake. The owner said he figured he would have a lot of remarks about it but no one seemed to notice. To him it's looked bad due to how far back it was sitting. He also said he gave $70.00 for the engine at Barrys U Pull it and they just dropped it in!
