After reading a few of the pm's from you guys, I decided to use bbffalcon (Rick) recipe
he steered me in the right direction and all I can say is that is some good stuff, modified it here and there, just because you can. I've gotten some good feed back from my friends....they say "job well done " and all you guys are correct. When you say " it will sneak up on you" that is a true statement! Lol......just want to say thanks for all the tips and if and when I finish my project car and we make a trip down to a Ford race, Ill be sure to have some with us for all to try....thanks Mike

Ok, Has anyone tried the apple pie 'shine from Ole Smokey distillery in Gatlinburg? how does these receipe's compare to theirs?
I will say the taste testing there was pretty cool!

When you walk in, you get to try 6 or 7 different ones. They are lined up and she starts at one end and ends up down at the 100 proof end. I thought the original 'shine was a bit harsh, but the white lightning was goood Laughing
I brought back some of their apple pie. Should have gotten a jar of the white lightning as well, but at $25 for a pint jar I stayed with one.
