I have to confess that at one time (one season) I pulled my race truck with a chevy.

It all started when I ran across a 1978 chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 that had the body fully restored and looked awesome, so I bought it. The low comp. 350 with 308 gears was terrible so I rebuilt the engine and put 383 gears in it, then it would pull like I wanted but when I pulled my race truck on the trailer it would squat real bad and even with the trailer brakes it was hell to stop quickly. anyway, I always caught crap at the races that year about pulling a Ford with a chevy. I sold the truck the next year, believe it or not it sold in less than two hours after I put the for sale sign in it.

I still have parts being used from my first ever vehicle a Black 1978 F-150 XLT 2wd 460 auto. Perfect vehicle for a 16 year old in highschool in 1984. It had a lot of rear tire issues. LOL
