Just looking for opinions on which intake i should use on my mud truck motor. I have a wieand 8021 and a victor.
Engine is a 472 unported cast iron cj heads with manley ss severe duty valves. Cleaned up the combustion chambers. Milled 10 thou.
Cam is a lunati rrz-252c-260c. 110 lobe sep. Part nu 51607lun.
Has 11 cc domed trw l2443n pistons with rpm hbeam rods. Arp 2000 bolts.
Large milodon oil pan. 12 quart i think.
280 lbs cranking pressure. I think
.042 head gasket. Waiting for blue prints to tally up cr. Deck was also milled 10 thou. Dive block.
Thinking 600 hp or so. Builder says 675. I'm not sure that the stock cj heads will support that hp.
1050 qft carb coming from john m. Thanks john
U think thats it. If you need more info i can get it.
Thx. Kyle. R

With that 472 build you are right on the fence between which intake would be better when using a Dominator carb. If an open adapter will be used then go with the Victor ... if you keep the two planes of the Weiand divided then, where in the RPM range you want the most power will make the choice for you.
The Weiand manifold, (if kept divided), would be better from about 4,000 RPM to 5,200 and the Victor better from 5,200 on up.

I only want to take it to 6800 max so i guess the wieand would suit me better. Or can you suggest a more suitable one for this combo. The weiand also has bigger runners than the victor. And forgot to mention the rockers. 1.75 scorpions
