Drive shaft length
Does anyone know the correct length drive shaft for a 429/460 c6 combo in a 85 mustang? Or does anyone have one for sale? HELP!?!

Re: Drive shaft length
The best way to do this is to completely insert your driveshaft yoke all the way into your trans, (if you have one), then pull it back out 1", then measure back to your rearend. I don't know if anyone could tell you the length yours needs, alot would depend on your engine/trans set back in your car, and if your rear suspension is stock, or does it have a 4 link or ladder bars. You only have about an inch to play with in length, too short and it's not engaged properly, and too long, it will bottom out in the trans and could cause damage.

If you go to [denneys drive shaft] web site they have a nice work sheet to help you figure out what you need.
