C6 modulator valve
Which modulator valve would be best for a drag race only c6 trans .Mine has the orginal in it now and has alway done good but it is leaking fluid out of it now.So I know it needs replacing and wondering what everybody runs mine is stock except for the b&m shift kit and 4000 stall.
On a dip stick lokar is not worth a crap leak all the time and if someone has a part number for a factory dip stick and tube that would be great could go to the junk yard and get one but most of them are all bent up.Mne came out of a van and that dip stick is not going to work on a drag truck

C6 Modulator valve
I have always understood that the C6 modular with black stripe was the best option for performance, as far as a "stock style" vacuum modulator was concerned. Hope this helps, Todd

The black is for high vacum engine the green or black will hold gears longer and firm up shift feel over stock. Tci offers a white valve that is good. The Dipstick and tube can be had for abot 45 bucks new with a locking top from PTC BTE Dynamic Racing Transmissions . the stock style are a lot better than the Lokar in my opinion.

Re: C6 modulator valve
going with a green ring but I learned something new on a c6 one has a push in type and the other has a srew in type I picked up a push in type which is the same as the trans that came out of the motorhome I have.I didn't even pay attention that my truck had the srew in type then I got to thinking we seen the numbers on the valve body when I put the shift kit in it a 74 model. The motorhome is a 86 model so some where in between 74 and 86 they changed the type of modulator valve.

modulators
On the screw in modulators for c6s about the only one available is a white stripe .The screw in the modulator should be flush with the nipple for the vaccum hose .Turn it in a couple of turns and see how it shifts in drive .It really isnt so critical on a drag machine .You spend most of your time at wide open throttle .Doug

Re: C6 modulator valve
Can I use any color stripe as long as it's push in like my trans or will I run into fitment issues?
