Are gappless rings worth the exrta money what is the most used for a mild bracket motor

bigger headache than anything. Depending on engine RPM intent, Childs and alberts released information on ring gap affects, and engines intent on running above 10,000 RPM, aside from a bearing to float the piston saw little gain in even running rings.
In many combinations more gap has proved benificial over less gap, espeacially when it comes to the second ring in the package.

Reher Morrison uses the gapless top rings in their purpose built Methanol engines. It's kind of a band aid for a poor tune up.

I have seen Gapless top rings work in a "bad tune-up" situation and sometimes when there is more vacuum in the crankcase wanted with just a "vacu-pan" and no pump.
Gapless 2nd rings work OK to help curb oil dilution in "grocery getters" and vehicles which start and stop a lot with only taking short trips and never really get to warm-up fully.
Whether ot not they are worth the money is a personal decision.
