Aftermarket ignition.
Is the MSD ignition system worth it? I would be putting it on a '97 F- 250 with rebuilt motor, Edlebrock intake, and K&N air filter kit. Does it really make a difference, and were would I see it?

If you have the need for start retard, timing control, or rev limiter yes but for a stock or slightly modified build I would say no.

I ran with a stock Ford module - coil and dist deep into the 8's all that was needed was to tighten up the plug gap , still use a modified stock distributer

Maybe NOT needed, but I have found that the hotter (MSD) spark even on a stock unit gives a better start and fuel burn. The Ford duraspark dizzy works just as well as aftermarket when setup correctly.
