Transbrake VS RMVB
Would a person not be better off using a Reverse Manual Valve Body' Running a C4 trans...I know how how these little C4 leaves the line , and thought the RMVB would be easier on the clutches & the trans than a transbrake...Going to be spraying 2 foggers also ....

I dont think it will matter, the direct clutches seem to be the weak link in that deal. When you get tired of replacing them everytime you turn around you'll be ready for one of them 2 speed deals........

Re: Transbrake VS RMVB
and why would it be easier on the clutches? except that you would be leaving a 2/3 the rpm

Re: Transbrake VS RMVB
In my opinion the trans brake is not the problem with the c-4 not holding up. The problem is running to much power throught a small package. At a certain level you will either have to go to a c-6 , TH400 or PG.
The C-4 is a good unit up until about 700 sbf flywheel hp after that it is just on borowwed time. And at that hp with a sbf it will only get you about 50 to 100 passes. thats just my 2 cents

Re: Transbrake VS RMVB
Here the reason C4's won't that the hp a C6 will, the inside ones are pics the direct clutches in a C4 even with 6 clutches they wouldn't hold what 7 clutches ( the outside ones ) will hold !!

That's what I am running in to with just about every c-4 brake vb . The older VB,s work better than the newer ones. I sold mine to a customer and got another one and it doesn't work as well as my old one
