The dude in the Camaro is a good friend that lets me do special testing at the track that he owns...Silver Dollar Raceway. Yeah, it is a Camaro...but he really likes it...
He uses a SBC and an old school "Adjust-A-Flow" vacuum secondary carb to run 10.90 at about 125 MPH.
I use the other approach..Larger engine , home made electronic/pneumatic multi-stage throttle stop system and other trickery to run 10.90 at 147+ MPH. Oh...and my car is about 850-900 Lbs heavy for the class. If I had a real 2800# race car, it could run 10.90 at about 156 or more.
Oh..yeah...I just got my 8.90 Super/Comp license upgrade and number.
