Oil pump shaft?
My distributor giving me a time going down over arp oil shaft it looks as it not center in the hole (shaft).Have any of u guys had this problem?

They can be a bitch at times. Some are really hard and vice versa.

Sometimes it can get out of the pump and drop down onto the pump housing.the shaft will look like it aint moved but its stuck.

Yes this one a sucker check to see if it out the pump but it isn't turning it with my fingers at the pump still will not center up.Kaase pump and arp shaft and still catch hell that my luck lol.

You might have to trim the top of the rod to get it to start itself in the dizzy.Also check and make sure the dist. shaft doesn't have a burr.

The ARP shaft is bigger dia. that the shaft FRPP used to sell. Make sure it's not hitting the block. Which block do you have?

Mine is the same way. I just push down on the distributor lightly and crank the engine over. The distributor will plop right down in. Also with that pump shaft you need to make sure its not too long.

Well i got the tool that prime the oil pump on ARP shaft to check to see if everything working right and prime the engine.Try to center it with the tool and it made a "ting" noise scared me shitless.After checking for oil pressure everything seem to be fine.Great pressure and oil cycle all the way to the rockers so i feel im on the right path.
