The good news is;

That we had four of our local Fords in the show at the NHRA Div 3 Jegs Quick 32 race at Lyons Dragway this weekend. Lyons has been voted the NHRA Div 3 "Track of the Year" for three consecutive years now, and they always have some hardcore racing. This weekend was no different as 32 cars qualified from 4.50 to 4.604 for a very tight field. The only Fords that made the program were the local Fords of James Shown, Krisse Lawyer, Scott Carman and Bobby Small. The engines in James, Kristina's, and Scott's dragsters were built by Phillip Oakley, and the engine in Bobby's dragster was built by Lawes Mayfield.

Today, at 8 cars left, three of them were Fords, and in the finals there were 2 Fords. Kristina raced Bobby for the Wally and it was Bobby taking the win light. Congrats to all four of them for having a good weekend and making a tough field against a sea of Brand X cars.

June 22 is the Div 3 Jegs Quick 32 race at Crossroads Dragway in Terre Haute, IN. So no, there's a conflict of dates there, and I don't believe we'll make it. I sincerely wish we could though.
