T-18 transmission
I am building a 64 f-100 street/strip truck . I plan on it making 425/450hp . I am a big 4 speed fan . My last project truck 65 with a mild 352fe made it pretty rough on the t-10 .my question is have any of you guys ever using the t-18 in a pro street truck ?? . I know it's big and meant for 4x4 , but its a dang tough trans , and since I am not building a truck ill be power shifting ever week end at the track . I thought it might be worth a look . I was glad to found out it weights 145 lbs about the same as a ford c6 .

Re: T-18 transmission
I would just use a top loader 4 speed out of a car. The T-18 is a truck trans and has a useless first gear in your application. plus no speed shifting. Get a top loader better all around.

I'd look into a TKO600 or T56.
