don't need washers with blue thunder heads they have inserts.

ARP lists a different part # for the Blue Thunder heads. Anyone know what the difference is?

Thats what I used them on.I just sold the complete heads.Are your heads inserted where they have the hardened washers already in the head.Thats the difference in the kits the bluethunders don'come with washers.I have washers from a different set for standard heads but would rather not part with them.If your heads are inserted you don't need them.Let me know steve. Thats why arp has two part numbers.

Yes. Blue thunder studs are longer on the outers. 6-1/2" as opposed to the stock length of 6-1/8".onequickstang wrote:ARP lists a different part # for the Blue Thunder heads. Anyone know what the difference is?

The B.T studs are used for SCJ as well

Mine were used with the Blue thunder heads with chevy exhaust.They were aluminum heads.
