Hot Rod TV
Watching them rebuild a 68 Camaro, install a new LS7 Corvette 427 crate motor with over 600hp (?) and then install a 2.5" Magnaflow exhaust system on it! I wondered if they were smart enough to figure out that a 2.5" exhaust might choke it down a bit? It seems crazy to have an unlimited budget build that will be shown on TV and then go cheap and stupid on the exhaust system! Maybe Tim just plans to drive it of and on the trailer at car shows and that is it.

Re: Hot Rod TV
Knowing what I've seen from those engines over the last few years I would be willing to bet that exhaust is not hurting any usable horsepower in a street car. The peak may lower a little though. I haven't seen that show but I would bet it makes 525-535 ft lbs of torque and the 600 hp number is probably right at peak rpm which is 7000.

Tim Allen has a bunch of high HP cars to drive, he probably just wants something nice to drive around without killing his ears. Every last bit of HP probably is not important with this car. Ha, just had a flashback to the jet powered riding lawn mower he had on Home Improvement.
