ALKY and Aluminum tank.
what affects does alky have on aluminum fuel cells? anything?
Can the fuel be left in the tank for weeks, or does it need to be drained right away?
I hear hard anodizing the inside of the tank will help?
any info would be great.

I have found some other forums where guys will leave fuel in their raw aluminum tanks for weeks and never have a problem...
I do find that hard to believe.?
The longest i'll leave it in will be 5-7 days. (i will be more worried about moisture.)
I will have the additive added to the fuel, and hard anodize the tank. From what i'm reading i'll be safe for what i'm trying to do...

Where can I find out more about a fuel additive that will anodize the tank?
Re: ALKY and Aluminum tank.
The cell in my car is plain aluminum. No Anodizing or coating. I drain it when the car is put up for the winter. 9 months of the year it has alky in it. No issues with corrosion. I do keep the cell full in the garage and if it sits for more than a couple of weeks I emoved the line from the vent and cap it.
I also use a top lube. Klotz Uplon synthetic. Mix is at about 2/3 the rate on the the bottle. 2/3 qt per drum of fuel.

anodizing is a chemical process, I think he was making two statements, having the tank anodized and using top lube.
