Bought a 2.3 powered Ford yesterday Empty Bought a 2.3 powered Ford yesterday

Post  GT300TD July 2nd 2013, 12:17 pm

Have been thinking about selling my' little beater', '04 Ranger (136,800 miles). Was on the internet Sunday and found an '87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe with 22,852 actual miles Shocked . Called about it at 10:05 am yesterday (they opened at 10:00) to see if they still had it. Loaded my grumbling wife, who had to drink her coffee and take a shower, in the Ranger and drove the 26 miles to the dealership. The salesman/part owner of the small dealership said he had gotten 2 emails from a guy in Virginia that was really interested in it, if he could get it shipped, but since I called about it first I had first chance. I thought yeah right, an old salesmans trick Rolling Eyes . Was making the deal when the salesman showed me the the emails along with another that said he could get it shipped for $550 and would take. I decided to quit trying to get the price down and sign the papers Very Happy . My wife had a different attitude on the way home. She had always referred to the Ranger as my truck, now she was referring to the TBird as her car Rolling Eyes Smile .

Congrats on your find.
22K miles sure is low. I have been looking for a super clean all original TC myself.
I've owned 17 of the 87-88 Turbo Coupes over the years. Love 'em.
Only have one left tho.

Post some pics up of the car when you get a chance.

I don't suppose that could be attributed to the way he drove it Suspect
