spudders on brake Empty spudders on brake

i just put a new cam and vic jr on my sbf, before it was fine, it would go 4500 on brake no problem and 3000 on the foot now if i try to use the tranny brake the sec i try to give it gas it spudders and dies. or even footbrake .any thoughts?

carb might need more pump shot w the bigger cam and intake.

also it did have 11 inch of vacuum and now has 5inches but i did not change the p.v and its a 6.5..if its a 6.5 and i only have 5 inches it opening at ideal correct ?

yeah its possible. Id plug the pv and jet up 6 sizes or so and see if that helps.

Yeah, either plug em or put 3.5 's in it. The PV needs to be less than the vacuum reading . Might need to advance the initial timing also.
