Overbore?
Hey guys, I'm used to clevelands and their thin bores. Will most 460 stock blocks take an .060 or .080 overbore and big hp? Or do you have to sonic test a pile of blocks to find one with thick walls?

It's always a good idea to have the block sonic checked to know for sure, but most will accept .060, and a lot will be capable of more. I had a D9TE block that would have been safe at 4.5" bore.

My D9 I used to build the 552 is good for 4.5 also but like Rob said have it sonic checked to make sure I only went .060 but I still have room bore if needed later on.

Yes sir. This winter I'm going to either sell my C motor or put it in my mustang. It's big block time. I need some torque to get this big ole car moving haha.
