New from TX. 93 Lightning looking to go BB!
New from South TX. I was tossing around motor ideas for my Lightning and I can't get the smile off my face when I think of a 521 or bigger stroker rumbling under the hood. I lucked up on a 77 460/C6 combo from a mark5 Lincoln. So I have somewhat of a start. Looking at a CHP pump gas 521/545 kit, solid roller, with some A heads, and a dominator. Looking to build up a 9 sec daily driven truck.
Here's some truck pics

Nice ride!
Do yourself a favor and get with a vendor from this site that deals with the BBF exclusively. CHP is pretty good, heck, Mark even posted here some, but you'd be much happier I think dealing with one of these folks on this site for parts and after sale advice.

Yeah I see yall have a few vendors here who can probably piece me together a better package for similar money. Thanks for the welcomes and yes indeed I'm straight off the YB train.

Yes I see quite a few engines here, but I'm a build it yourself type guy, and also I dknt have that kind of money to throw around anymore. I was in a motorcycle wreck last year and haven't really worked regularly since. I will do the basic machine work on the block now, then jump on a head and intake package, and once I have that I will buy the rotating kit. Id be more than happy with some A heads but might get lucky on something else. I should be able to have this done by the new year. This week is all disassembly, i just had a later model 460 given to me i need to pick up this weekend, and then next week I will be dropping it off for machining. I am attempting all this on somewhat of a budget. So we shall see how it plays out.

Lol yeah that's my buddies 454ss swapped over to a 502 Ram Jet! It runs pretty good for being all motor with nothing else done to the truck. I believe it went 1280s on street tires
