launch rpm
i'm using the msd grid in my car for launch rpm. somehow while trying to get data from it last time out I must have pulled the file I had in it and ended up with nothing loaded in it. after I looked to find no sd card in it I put one in and went to the track tonight. when I stage i wait till the last bulb to hit the throttle so the alky don't load the motor so much. this works for me but tonight with no low side limiter it went to 6500 on the launch. sure left hard, 1.13 60', but i think less would be more in this case. it shook so hard the fuel pump came loose from the belt drive, it has a clamp style collar on it. the rpm graph shows it to be 1000 rpm drop on the 1-2 shift but 6500 on the brake sound loose?

Re: launch rpm
Might be a little loose, but loose is good for a bracket car. Loose is consistent.
Not sure what mine would go to on the brake with no limit , but it flashes to 6200 in good air. 6100 or do in not so good air. 4400 on the brake.

Re: launch rpm
I sure plan to load the file back in,lol. I cant keep all the bolts tight like it is. The motor dont get happy till higher up in the rpm but i still aint touched the tune. The headers are a little too big so thats one reason i guess. I'll get a video up later.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_h5FC0ttaRw

Re: launch rpm
at least big as a cows ass! i'm thinking a couple of QF carbs and a nozzle swap would make good use of them headers.Lem Evans wrote:Are the headers as big as a cow's ass?cool40 wrote:I sure plan to load the file back in,lol.
