YEP ... they get better "FACE" time on television with NASCAR, for no greater expenditure.dfree383 wrote:http://dragillustrated.com/castrol-leaving-force-at-end-of-2014-season/
No matter what anybody will admit to ... it's all about the money.

You should follow drag racing, you could say that you watched the pro classes die.

Just not enough spectators in the stands to watch the WWE style show that NHRA has been putting on for years now. The younger generations are more into internet games/I pad / Text Messing they dont do anything that is real except pay for the Pizza when it's delivered. Oh yea and "Vote of Change" with a mail in ballot.

Re: Damn..... Castrol and Force parting ways???????
The stands use to fill with "once in a while" racers and those coming to watch with them. The NHRA has shown that those "once in a while" racers are not important to them; Maybe not as racers but, the end result is the bottom line of WATCHERS at their races has also dwindled.
Re: Damn..... Castrol and Force parting ways???????
Yep. It seems that all the little guys who built the sport are now a nuisance to NHRA. They take up some of the time that could otherwise be spent showcasing the Force family soap opera.rmcomprandy wrote:The stands use to fill with "once in a while" racers and those coming to watch with them. True, and NHRA acts like a druggy when trying to explain to them what the problem is,then before you know it,it's too late.

Change the way they are allowed to race....Big changes like you cant change or rebuild your Engine. You break it your done. Slow things down to the point that someone has a chance to make a profit other than NHRA. Find some way to get the racers like us involved in some type of full throttle racing and you know what I mean. Lower the price to get in and provide a more comfortable SHADED seating, hell I know afew friends that wont go to a racing event because for being COOKED in the sun, NHRA, NASCAR or Horse Racing doesnt matter. I'm for more 8 second thru 13 second Old time bracket racing and change the handicap system to something like weight to C.I. with no Electronics, cuss the B.S. NHRA puts on now nobody watches. Sorry about the rant I type too much.
