What kind of brake fluid?

What kind of brake fluid wont attack paint? I have been having a problem with brake fluid pushing out under the lid of my master cylinder and ruining the paint on my master and firewall. The car is a 68 mustang with manual front discs. The master has a chrome mr gasket lid and im wondering if thats the problem. Thanks

Silicone based brake fluid will be LESS corrosive however, it will still attack; just more slowly.

I'd run DOT 3 and fix the gasket issue.

Im gonna buy a new stock lid and gasket. Seems like everytime i buy something chrome its a piece of shit! Especially mr gasket shit. This will give me a chance to flush my old fluid. Thanks for the advice.

  i have a nice POS cover on the 8.8 under my 68. yep,it needs changing too.
