Kinda new to 385 blocks

Just picked up a 79 bronco with a 429 Thunderjet. I've always owned fords and have had a '92 460, '78 400 and '67 390. When I got this truck I had the carb dyno tuned and its pumping out around 260hp at the wheels. I lost the form that had all the readings, whatever. As of right now the truck wont burn out even power braking. But I will say that when its in 4 low, it will torque over anything. Quite impressive compared to the other engines I've owned, even the fuel injected '92 460 doesn't come close. I want to get this motor to do a big ol smoke show.
