who not to use
I would not recommend anyone get an engine built by a shop in Henderson Nevada.

Re: who not to use
well it started last year when I asked this shop to build me an engine, and they said they had been specking a motor very similar to what I was asking for and they could turn it out in 6 weeks.
the price was spot on so I sent them a deposit to get started, and about 6 months later I tried calling only to spoken and treated like I was dog shit on the bottom of boot. So I was very concerned about what was going on and about the $14000 I had already given him.
the engine was all good stuff, A 460 block, crank was armor treated, billet rods, je pistons 16 to 1, 4.625 bore, profiler 205 heads, jessel timing and rocker gear, roller cam.
when the motor arrived the 6 week build had taken 10 months, but admirably the price quoted was the actual finish price also, so very happy with that.
when we open the crate it looked fantastic the wait had been worth it, until I took the drain plug from the sump and found what was left of a smashed roller lifter in the sump, just bearing material. so I took the sump off and found the rest of the lifter wheel and needle bearings, so I sent them an email and he said that one had failed on the dyno and they replaced all of them and they thought they had cleaned it all out. Then I took it to my builder who had a look and this thing was a mess, and it was sent to me as being dynode ready to race. The manton push rods had been machined for a better word on a belt sander so they clear the lifter bars, the crank was burnt on the second journal, bmain bearings were burnt, the rings were full of metal debris, the bores were scored, and they needed to be de-burred, basically I am rebuilding my new 604 that was delivered ready to race.
I was told no warranty because I had opened the motor, he also told me the damage must have been from me racing it, shit we haven't been able to start it at that point.
he did send some new pushrods 8 and some new gaskets but that's it.
worst of all was I have advised other guys to use the builders off this site as they are the cream of their field, if only I had taken my own advice, funny how you react when someone tells you what you want to hear.
So far I have spent another $10000 on trying to get it done, hopefully we will run out of stuff to fix this week.

Yellow bullets ass:roll: A shop that would do that too someone couldn't care less about their reputation. I don't know where you live, but for the money they owe you,the trip couldn't be that far. I'd be whoopin someone's ass.
