Re: Pro-filer Heads ?
Not sure I've never needed heads that big, seen few sets, but I'm sure Randy or Charlie could answer the question.

Re: Pro-filer Heads ?
Hi guys. Hope you find this information useful. We have used the Thors on both a 598 & 638 engine with nitrous. We strictly race 1/8 mile. My experience is I think they performed better on our 638. That being said they worked good on our 598 engine also. The gentleman I sold my old Thors to has a top sportsman tube chassis Mustang & has been I believe 6.80's in the 1/4 at over 200mph with 2 foggers on a 598 engine. They are working pretty well for him. I just believe the more cubic inches you can put under the Thors the more they will like it. You guys take care & have a nice day!!!!

Tony Bischoff ran the Thors on a 646" engine with a lot of nitrous, in Pro 5.0. He went mid 6.50's@213+ at 2600# as I recall. They seem to like the nitrous, if you know how to tune it. He's run even faster in NMCA trim, I believe in the 6.30's.

Re: Pro-filer Heads ?
The Profiler heads WILL use a "C" cast style intake manifold easily. A 5/16" or so intake gasket spacer is needed; the bolt pattern does crossover.
I believe that Charlie Evans has those spacers IN STOCK.
Art Francis says his "Thor Heads" are a cross between the Ford "C" and "E" heads but, taller and use a completely different intake manifold and valve train.

I just did this deal with the c manifold on profiler , I used a 3/16 thick gasket i got from cometic , and the floors line up pretty good, match the roof line, and its all good. You'll need to slot the bolt holes a good bit, but they will work good. The only "issue" you will find is that the water outlets dont line up from the head to the manifold. Since i already had the heads bolted on and the rockers on it, i just filled in about 1/2" of the water outlet on the manifold , then ground the floor down some to make it all line up . I normally precheck everything, but i was guilty of not catching this during the mockups , if i had i would have welded up the water outlet on the head, then put a bung on the outside and brought the water out of the end of the head , I could then just glue the intake gaskets on and leave there for a good while during teardowns ( they are about $ 40 pr)
