Manual Trans
Ok, I got out of pulling and going to build a pro-street / strip truck. About a 50/50 split to street and strip time. What something different so want a manual. Could I get some input on what trans to go behind a 900hp bbf. Would like a 5 speed if possible for some highway cruising. Or should I just stay with the C6.Thanks for any advice you guys can offer.

Re: Manual Trans
Really -- Highway cruising with 900HP?
How much cruising (miles per year) do you really think you'll do with that rig?
If you think you'll "Highway Cruise" less than 2K miles/year, then I wouldn't worry to about 5th gear fuel mileage or reduced cruising RPMS....I'd be more concerned about keeping that big HP BBF cool and fed with good fuel! I agree with the previous replies, you might be better served with a stout LENCO, Jerico, G-Force, ZF or Liberty trans, not to mention the equally-required stout clutch package, rear end, axles & tires to handle 900HP and get it planted to the pavement..... just saying......

Re: Manual Trans
It it were mine it would depend on how much strip time I planned on doing. The tremic would make it driver friendly, but not sure how much power with slicks it would stand.
