season change
With the season change have time to work on the truck need to work on suspenion. the rear shock location where is the best in front of axle or behind straight up and down or angle leaf spring truck

I remounted mine behind the rear axle... there is more spring flex/movement behind the axle than in front of it. Makes more sense to me to have the shock on the end of the spring that has the most motion when the axle is separating/compressing from the chassis... really like your truck. Have fun

The farther from the pivot point, the more dampening ability the shock will have due to lowered mechanical advantage of the suspension motion over the shock. When the shock is mounted parallel to the direction of motion the shock has the greatest dampening ability. If you put them on an angle- ex. 45 degrees, then the shock would have half the dampening ability as it did when mounted vertical. Basically changing the location or angle will just change how soft or stiff the shock seems.
