I saw that too. If you look at the pictures there are 2 small pics of the car from probably back in the 70's -early 80's of the car with a teardrop hood with a trans-am bird on the hood and the sidepipes . I'd say the sidepipes were original to the first build / customization ? One of the pics also shows that same teardrop hood sitting in the background of the garage yet. The mud truck zoomies and shark tooth grille are apparently someones attempt to make this thing look like a gasser ................ I'd say the thing has been tucked away for a long time and someone decided to modernize it a little more   Either this thing is WAY ahead of its time     or I have lost complete touch with the car world as I have come to know it.

Worst part is this car is less than 20 minutes from me apparently ................. I'd like to go see it but I really hate to waste my gas as I am 99% sure that pictures don't do this car justice.

No, Randy...Wasn't a 292 the engine of choice for A/Gas??  

In the last picture, there are 2 tachs, one on the dash and one in the dash on the right, I though another tach on the left, but it is a Bat-O-Meter.

Interesting. I see some of the old race cars from the 60's and early 70's with a big name driver attached to them going at auction for big money now days. Park this thing in the back of a barn and it might fetch 62k in ten years, for all we know, if you don't mess with it, and leave the 292 Y block and period custom stuff alone. I think someone had a Thunderbird Cojack once owned, that was a basket case, on ebay, and could not give it away, so who knows.
