Re: What is this?
if it was the p-51 heads the fireing chamber would be machined, not as cast fireing chamber.

Re: What is this?
Eithewr way Id go with the head on the left as the valves and que nch areas are more centrally located as opposed to the head on the right. Id also assume the head on the left has a more direct port angle towards the valves and would happen to be the after market head.

Re: What is this?
The head on the right seems to be a more modern chamber. It has a centrally located sparkplug with a bias toward the exhaust valve. It also has a dam between the valves. The head on the right should make more power. I'll take the right.

Re: What is this?
I took one of my SCJ's over to my neighbor's house, and compared it to one of his customer's P51 heads. That is a little bit different too. In the quench area.

Re: What is this?
I'll bite, is it a SCJ head vs a B-9 head? Figure the chamber on the right is more central and upright like a hemi head would look. Never seen the B9, just a guess....

A429 vs SCJ chamber view from Jon Kaase's website. Valve placement on SCJ looks much more like the 351 Cleveland design instead of factory big Ford where the valves are more towards the exhaust side of the cylinder head.

Re: What is this?
I'd be glad to make a prototype if they would actually produce it and I'd do it for just product in return.
NEVER HAPPEN ...!!!

I was talking about Kaase. Didn't Ford have him re-design the aluminum SCJ head with the promise of production, then when he deliverd the farmed it out to another manufacturer? Or was that all rumor.
That's my off humor comment to Randy about making that head he was talking about with the hopes of getting product return.
