Drag Car for sale or trade

Guy's as of this time I pass (90% sure) on the car. I just want everybody to know as here in Division 5 (NHRA) everything faster than 10.90 MUST pass a certain certification and this car with the 2" tubing is with in question. It will not pass for 7.50 but maybe 8.5 if everything is done to SFI spec's ( all the right bars in place). I was hoping better than 8.50 as we could run some top sportman stuff. I will talk with the family tonight as we alway look at long term plans

Out in CA its 9.99-8.50 where the chassis must cert, then of course a different cert for 8.49-7.50. If it doesn't you can still run 10.00 or slower. Is it 10.90 where you are at because of the elevation or something?

You are correct. 9.90 as sea level.. = 10.90 here in the Mile High City

It should be pointed out that there is absolutely nothing wrong certification wise with using bigger 2" OD tubing for the cage or frame structure even though it's a bigger OD than the minimum spec usually calls for (regardless if its NHRA/IHRA cert or SFI cert) as long as the wall thickness minimum is achieved. You can go bigger than the "minimum" OD or wall specs (or both) and pass cert just fine.

wow, hate to see you sale your car Ray. Park it so you won't regret it later. I parked mine in my trailer and locked it up in the shop. Will do some racing this year.

i figured it was long gone cuz it was a hellofa deal!

I love the look of that car but It was too far away to take a chance as everything here NEEDS to PASS certifications for NHRA. If I ran outlaw track i would have it done right now as i just finished a 557 Spare motor

It is a beautiful car for sure and was fast , he said the quickest pass in it was a 5.12 , just a shame it wouldn't cert.
