pinion angle
88 t bird fox body solid bushings in the rearend housing and hiem joint double adjustable upper and lower bars. what should I use as a starting point for pinion angle?

Very little is needed. -1 to -1.5 should be good.

Just make sure you don't have a wonky U-joint operating angle at the front (driveshaft to slip yoke) & the mentioned rear pinion U-joint operating angle of -1.0 to -1.5 should be good to go.
