I would locate a 1973-79 rear sump pickup truck pan, and oil pump with pickup. I used a front sump car pan on my 1978 and installed a new drain plug, the stock plug was on the croosmember and could not be removed. Another problem is the car pan cannot be removed with the engine in the vechicle, if need be. If you want after market Milodon is good. Also Morso is a lttle cheaper, but the pans seem thinner.

So a rear sump and not a front sump is what I should look for. Thanks I had it backwards I thought I needed a front sump.

You can use either one but the front sump make a mess when changing oil  Mad  like was said if you use a front sump move the drain plug to the back of the sump
