Does anyone know for sure who the designer of the E Pro Stock head was?
Thanks, Bret

EPD possibly, not sure that they are still in business though. Prototype started out as a welded up DRCE II I believe.
The last rubbed core castings may be able to take the Cleveland stuff.

Re: E-Heads ???
I've heard that Larry from EPD designed them. He still has a good working phone number, as I have a pair here and have some questions about them. He supposedly worked these and they are supposed to be old Glidden heads. These have been modified to fit a standard 18 bolt block .

with the C % D heads on the market in the 90's , it was said Ford was waiting for Glidden to finish the new (E) pro stock head

Re: E-Heads ???
Buddy of mine had a new set of Es at EPD getting them switched to the 18 bolt pattern a few years back. They ported 1 ex and 1 Int port while there, so maybe they are pretty familiar with them. But like was said, they are have very similar ports to the GM prostock head.
Kinda like the how much difference there is between the current Ford prostock head and the Hemi 99 Mopar head, when you can use the same CNC port program on both heads.

The "E" head was already produced with a 18 head bolt pattern but, it was a different pattern with the center bolts being 7/16" and in a slightly different location. It was "coined, the PRO STOCK 18 head bolt pattern".
The PRO STOCK block of the day had NO head bolt holes but. all the bosses and locations were there.
Re: E-Heads ???
These have been altered to fit the stock A460 block, but a spacer will have to be made for the china wall. No big deal to me if I decide to use them for my build.

Re: E-Heads ???
Same deal on the heads I was talking about, they had been converted to fit A460 18 bolt pattern.
