TXR has always tried to fill up as many Friday nights of the month as they can with some kind of extra show to go along with their regular Friday night grudge/TnT stuff. Only problem is the tracks midnight curfew sometimes bites them in the azz.

That seems to be becoming a real popular class almost everywhere in 1/8 mile drag racing.

The cars speed usually ends-up going to fast in the 1/4 mile to be a good fit.

Randy we had 4 races last year for the 5.00 index, & had a very good showing , lot of fast cars here that have nothing they fit into anymore, the Outlaw T/S (470 index) is pretty much gone around here .. got a pretty good mix ranging from 5.xx-5.30 so it will be interesting to say the least .
I'm doing a little sponsorship for the class ( qualifier bonus stuff) thru my company , look forward to the season.
so far I'm the only Ford in it so I suspect I'll need to be "PERFECT" ...   it's a SEA of brand X out in the staging lanes!!! I'm either gona be a HERO or a ZERO... I already asked for Fabio's cape..

Yea, a couple of years ago a number of the tracks around the Texas Outlaw/DFW circuit area decided they didn't want to pay the same payouts they had been after one event where the racers agreed to take less money (was either the OTS guys, or the Auto P/M guys). That one mistake of agreeing to take less money at that one event got the ball rolling at other tracks, and they wanted to pay less money for payouts too.

The result was the TOPMA P/M guys had to reduce their schedule from running at a ton of different tracks to racing mostly only at TXR. The Auto P/M guys ended up with a drastically reduced schedule that also forces them to travel farther. And the OTS guys.......I don't know what's going on there. Both OTS web sites have been kinda dead since last year. And I think at their final race last year only 5 teams showed up for a pedal-fest at the scary narrow Temple/Little River track down south.

TXR is getting two no prep races, and some 275 races! Going to be a good year.
