Only mods I know of is, you need to install the cam bearings first.

The wallet mod. Freaking lifters are nearly as expensive as the bump stick.

Re: solid roller cam in stock block
If you have not installed cam bearings yet , get with Lem & get a set of "wide " cam bearings.
(IIRC, Lem told me they are the #1 Cleavland style bearing, but talke to Lem & make sure on that)

It is BEST to drill the right, (passenger), side main oil gallery to 5/8" and install lifter bushings on that side but, it is really only necessary in high RPM cases.

Bronze thrust plate, but I ran a roller with the stock cast one for a long time before I found out that was "bad". Will have to run a bronze distributor gear on a billet steel cam.

Depending on where you are, maybe Randy is a good choice for supplier also? I've gotten a few sets from him.

Wide bearings are nice, but not a necessity for a pump gas deal imo.

With the nominal cost diff. & better support why on earth wouldn't you go with the wider ones??? fuel has really nothing to do with it...just sayin.
