TFS Street heads
Does anyone have any flow numbers for a maxed out set of TFS Streets? A flow sheet would be nice too. I'm just trying to run some things through my mind to see if this is a possibility for the near future. Charlie, Phillip, Blake, any numbers to share?

If your talking about the 290's & you want more flow just get the 325's, they are cnc'd & flow quite well.
Airflow on the CNC 325's according to TFS
This is the info I got when I talked to TFS
these test conducted @28" of water (pressure)
bore size 4.380; exh w/2" pipe
lift value.................intake flow cfm................exh flow cfm
0.100---------------------82-----------------------------58
0.200--------------------162---------------------------115
0.300--------------------262---------------------------160
0.400--------------------332---------------------------196
0.500--------------------370---------------------------223
0.600--------------------388---------------------------261
0.700--------------------401---------------------------290
0.800--------------------408---------------------------302

Answers;
1. J T's TFS Street heads. 2.200" intake and 1.760" exhaust. Ferrea valves.
.100=72.5, .200=155.8, .300=237.6, .400=298.4, .500=336.4, .600=355.5, .700=368.8, .800=376.8 cfm
.100=55.3, .200=112.8, .300=151.1, .400=180.4, .500=209.4, .600=232, .700=245.3, .800=255.3 cfm
These are just your basic fully ported heads, with their valves and sizing, NO exhaust test pipe. Pipe numbers would be about 25-30 cfm higher at peak lifts.
2. Max race and welded on TFS Street heads. 2.250" intake and 1.760" exhaust. P-51 valves if my memory is correct.
.100=73, .200=154, .300=239.5, .400=308.5, .500=351.8, .600=376.8, .700=387.5, .800=392.3 cfm
.100=56, .200=109, .300=154, .400=192, .500=221.6, .600=248.6, .700=261.3, .800=267.3 cfm
Again the exhaust numbers are without a test pipe. Throat diameter sweet spot is between 90 -91% of the valve head diameter.
Additional note, I strongly suspect that the TFS flow numbers that are advertised for the 325 cc intake runner, may be about 10 cfm less, if those same heads were flowed on one of our benches. We've done this before, and it's always a problem when one tries to compare flow numbers from different benches. The bench calibration and many other factors enter into it.
IMO the TFS Street heads are certainly a good horsepower value for the dollar spent, and they make more horsepower than they have a right too. I would choose them OVER the Pro Comp heads, any of the Edelbrock CJ style heads, and the Motorsports A-429 heads. I believe they are equal to the Blue Thunder heads with the raised exhaust port,,,the Ford style exhaust port.
Hope this helps,

Re: TFS Street heads
These heads (JT's) made 700h @6250 & 650tq @4500-5000 on a very basic 10.8:1 521". 260-266 street roller, 1050 1"power cone a victor, 2 x 3-1/2" headers. After talking with folks (Charlie, Blake,Lem & friends), it seems this is right in the meat of where this head will shine. After that, more porting, valves, ect., the returns seem to go down a little. Just my take.c.evans wrote:AZFairlane wrote:Does anyone have any flow numbers for a maxed out set of TFS Streets?
